Provider Agreement

Last updated: September 2, 2026

This Provider Agreement ("Agreement") applies to every cleaner, handyman, contractor, landscaper or other service professional ("Provider", "you") who uses Haven to find and accept jobs. You must accept this Agreement before you can accept jobs on Haven. It supplements the Terms of Service.

1. Independent contractor status

You are an independent business, not an employee, agent, partner or joint venturer of Haven. You decide which jobs to accept or decline, when you work, how you perform the work, and what tools, materials and helpers you use. Haven does not supervise or direct the manner or means of your work. You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, licensing and any workers you engage.

Worker classification is determined by the actual relationship and degree of control under applicable state and federal law, not by this label alone. Nothing here prevents any authority from making its own determination, and Haven may adjust this Agreement to comply with the law in your state.

2. Provider requirements

You must keep all of the above current. Haven may suspend or remove your account if any requirement lapses, expires or is found to be inaccurate.

3. Safety rules

4. Prohibited services

You may not offer or perform the following through Haven:

5. Customer property and access

You will use access codes, keys and lockbox information only to perform the accepted job, never share them, and never enter a property outside the scheduled window without the host's written approval in Haven. You will treat the property, its contents and any guest belongings with care, will not use customer property for personal purposes, and will not remove anything from the property. You are responsible for loss or damage you or your helpers cause, and you must report any damage in Haven within 24 hours. Customer information you learn on a job is confidential.

6. No off-platform solicitation

For 12 months after you are introduced to a customer through Haven, you agree not to solicit or arrange the same or similar services with that customer outside Haven in order to avoid platform fees, and not to ask for off-platform payment. This restriction applies only where and to the extent it is permitted by applicable law, and it does not stop you from working for anyone you already served before the Haven introduction, or from advertising your business generally.

7. Cancellations and no-shows

8. Payment terms

Customers pay upfront and the funds are held by Haven's payment provider until the customer verifies the work. Haven retains a platform fee of 15% of the job price; the remaining 85% is released to your payout destination after verification, or after Haven resolves a dispute in your favour. You are responsible for keeping your payout details accurate — Haven is not liable for funds sent to a payout account you provided incorrectly. Prices are the amount agreed in Haven (including any counter-offer the customer accepts); you may not demand additional payment on site without agreeing a revised offer in Haven first. Tips, where offered, are yours in full.

9. Disputes

If a customer disputes your work, the funds stay held while the dispute is open. Respond in the Haven dispute thread within 48 hours with photos and an explanation. A Haven moderator reviews both sides and may release the payout, release it partially, or refund the customer. You agree to Haven's determination as the platform-level outcome; it does not limit either party's separate legal rights. Repeated upheld disputes may end your access.

10. Tools, equipment and supplies

You provide and maintain your own tools, equipment, vehicle, cleaning products and consumables unless the job listing says otherwise, and you bear the cost of their repair, replacement, insurance and loss. Haven provides no equipment, storage, uniform or reimbursement. You must arrive equipped for every service you offer, including but not limited to: cleaning products, vacuums, mops and rags for cleaning; a lawn mower, trimmer and edger for lawn care; a snow blower or shovel and ice melt/salt for snow removal; brushes, rollers, drop cloths and ladders for painting; and the hand and power tools required for handyman and repair work. Any materials purchased for a job must be agreed with the customer in Haven in advance.

11. Taxes

You are solely responsible for reporting and paying all income, self-employment, sales and other taxes on your Haven earnings, and for any employment taxes for people you engage. Haven does not withhold taxes. You must provide accurate taxpayer information (e.g. a W-9) when requested, and Haven may issue an information return (e.g. Form 1099-K/1099-NEC) where required by law.

12. Indemnity and liability

You will indemnify and hold Haven harmless from claims, damages and costs arising from your services, your breach of this Agreement, your misclassification of workers you engage, or your violation of law. Haven's liability to you is limited as described in the Terms of Service.

13. Suspension and termination

Either party may end this Agreement at any time. Haven may suspend or remove your account immediately for safety risks, fraud, licensing or insurance lapses, prohibited services, or repeated policy breaches. Held funds for completed, verified work are still released.

14. Changes and contact

Haven may update this Agreement; material changes are announced in-app and you may be asked to re-accept. Questions: support@havenserves.com.
